The Labour Relations Officer will coordinate labour relations processes, manage grievances and misconduct cases, and provide guidance and training on labour legislation compliance within the public service.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education:
- Three-year relevant tertiary qualification in Employee Relations or Human Resource Management with at least 2 years’ experience, or
- NQF Level 6 qualification, or
- Grade 12 with 2 to 5 years’ demonstrable experience in labour relations in the public sector.
- License: Valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge:
- Labour prescripts including LRA, BCEA, EEA, OHSA, COIDA, SDA, Public Service Code of Conduct, and PSA.
- Disciplinary Code and Procedures, Grievance Management, Collective Bargaining, and Dispute Resolution.
- Competencies:
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Report writing and conflict management.
- Computer literacy and ability to work independently.
