Duties
The Operator (CSSD) role includes responsibilities such as:
- Proper control and care of surgical instruments
- Practicing infection control measures
- Using and maintaining instrument washing machines
- Cleaning and caring for autoclaves and performing required tests
- Packing sterile sets and ensuring availability of sterilized packs
- Handling linen and soiled items according to protocol
